The Nintendo DS is a next generation handheld game console. It features a new dual touch screen. The Nintendo DS is the main rival to the Sony PSP.

Compared to the Sony PSP, Nintendo DS is less versatile with less multi purpose functionality. But the Nintendo DS is built for the sole purpose of gaming. It comes with IEEE, bluetooth and wireless connection so you can play online with anyone. Of course, you will need a broadband connection.

Nintendo DS colours

There are four colours available with the Nintendo DS: silver, black, light blue or pink.

Nintendo DS Lite

A slimmed down version of the Nintendo DS, called the Nintendo DS Lite, is also available. It is has a sleek, "Wii" type, design. It is 42% smaller and 21% lighter than the original Nintendo DS. It also has an adjustable, brighter screen. The layout of the pad has been changed to enhance the usability of the DS Lite.

The Nintendo DS Lite comes in four colours: Ice Blue, Enamel Navy, Black and Crystal White.
